Freedom Area Recreation Council Looking for Scholarship Applicants

The Freedom Area Recreation Council high school scholarship awards. 

The Freedom Area Recreation scholarship recognizes high school seniors for their involvement in Freedom Area Reccreation programs. One $750 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior at and one $750 scholarship to a graduating senior at .

Eligibility requirements for the scholarship include participation or volunteering in a Freedom Area Recreation Council sponsored or affiliated full-season program for at least three continuous years.

Applicants must be a graduating senior at either Century or Liberty high school, and planning to attend a two-year or four-year college, technical or vocational school in the fall following graduation. The award will be paid directly to the recipient's school.

Applications are available in the Guidance Offices at Century and Liberty high school, the Eldersburg library or by contacting Freedom Area Rec. web page here. Applications must be received by April 1.
