High School Football: Cavaliers Topped By Patuxent
Patuxent dropped South Carroll to 0-2 Friday night.
First it was the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee and Friday night it was Trey Lee against .
Lee scored two touchdowns and gained 153 yards to lead the visiting Patuxent Panthers to a 21-14 victory over South Carroll.
American flags were handed out at the gate as people entered for the game, as the Cavaliers honored the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The Cavaliers lost Dan Mullen in the first half to a leg injury. Before going out of the game he had 16 yards on the ground on six carries and intercepted a pass that he returned to the four-yard line.
Three times in the first half, South Carroll was inside the Patuxent 20-yard line and came away with no points. The game was scoreless at halftime.

"We have to take advantage of the opportunies that are given to us," said Cavalier coach Steve Luette. "We can't be down in the 20-30 yard line in the first half three times and no punch the ball in. We have to be able to score and get everybody moving," said Luette.
Lee put the Panthers on the board with 7:33 left in the third quarter. He scored again with 1:18 left in the quarter following an interception. The visitors were up 13-0.
With 11:16 left in the game South Carroll got on the board as Ryan Patrick took the ball in from six yards out.
The Panthers scored the winning points on a 25-yard inception returned for a touchdown.
The Cavaliers made it a game as Patrick scored again with 4:16 left on a three-yard run.
South Carroll pinned the Panthers on the one-yard line on the kickoff. They forced a punt and got the ball on the 25-yard line. An interception stopped the drive with 1:47 left. But the Cavaliers got the ball right back on a fumble. Patuxent intercepted the ball again with 32 seconds left to seal the victory.
"There were some opportunies there at the end. They were handing the ball to us on a silver platter and saying come on and try to tie us and we just couldn’t do it. We have to be able to finish our drives," said Luette.
South Carroll falls to 0-2 on the season and host Middletown next Friday. The Panthers improved to 2-0.
