High School Sports: Golf Squads Start the 2011 Season
The county teams are chasing North Carroll this year.

Century, Liberty and South Carroll like everyone else in the county is chasing North Carroll on the links this year.
The Panthers won the Class 2A/1A title along with going undefeated in winning the county crown.

The Knights have coach George Wunder entering his third year with assist from first year coach Chris Hynes.

Leading the squad is senior Nicky Pirone and sophomore Barry Frankel. Also on the squad are seniors Jordan Rich and Jack Jakobe and juniors Alex Bontzos, Matt Caillouet, Billy Dickman, Patrick Kluge, Cody Rothstein and Jake Stefanick. Ryan Quigg is the lone freshman on the team.
The Lions were 8-5 overall and 5-2 in the county. Liberty graduated four members of the 2010 team.
Paul Bangle is starting his seventh year as coach of the squad.
Leading the team this year is senior Eric Llewellyn and junior Caleb Chouinard. Rounding are the squad are seniors Claire Gostomski and Eric Winn; juniors Tyler Caldwell and Wes Rankin; sophomores Alexandra Button, Owen Klasmeier, George Kraft and Tyler McElroy and freshmen Bjorn Abrahamzon and Kyle Hillman.
Coach Matt Joseph is starting his ninth year leading the Cavaliers.
South Carroll was 9-1-5 overall and 4-3 in the county.
Seniors Greg Hewitt and Justin Stankewicz led the Cavaliers. Also on the team is seniors Raymond Cooper IV, Wesley Siegrist and Mitchell Operchuck; junior Matthew Bucklew and three freshmen David Strope, Matthew Shockey and Michael Graessle.
