High School Sports: North Carroll Shuts Out Liberty in Field Hockey
North Carroll Panther's Megan Harrison scored three goals in Tuesday night's game.
Visiting North Carroll blanked 4-0 in a county field hockey match Tuesday.
The Panthers dominated the game to move their county record to 2-3 and 7-3 overall. The Lions drop to 0-5 in the county and 2-5 overall.
"They do a really good job in practice," said Lion coach Brenda Strohmer. "They just got to get that confidence. It’s confidence on the field. They got to know they have the ability and it’s confidence."

Liberty didn’t get a shot on goal in the contest, while the Panthers peppered the goal with 20 shots. Lion goalie Anna Slusarcyk made 15 saves in the game. North Carroll ined up for 24 short corners, while Liberty had none.
North Carroll scored two goals in each half. Megan Harrison scored three of the four goals for the Panthers.

She scored twice in the first half finding the net at 17:17 and 7:40 marks. Ashlynn Shaffer assisted on the second goal.
Sophomore Haley Cianfarini scored with 12:11 left in the game with Emily Harrison assisting. Megan Harrison got her third goal on a pass from Megan Heindel with 6:51 on the clock.
The Lions are next in action on Monday when they host county foe Francis Scott Key.
"We have senior night the next game against Key. It’s going to be another tough one," said Strohmer.
