Host Families Needed for Exchange Students in Eldersburg and Sykesville

Elizabeth Milby, an Eldersburg resident and ASSE volunteer representative for Maryland is looking for volunteer families willing to host foreign teenagers attending school in the area. 

"We are looking for volunteer families in Carroll County that would be willing to share their home and hearts for a teenager from another part of the world," said Milby. "We have several students currently in local schools, Century, Liberty and Westminster." 

Students live with a volunteer host family for 10 months while attending local high schools. Host families provide a bed, a bedroom (sharing a room with another teen is okay), meals, transportation to school and social events, and "love and guidance."

Students are arriving in late August, but the paperwork to start the process needs to be submitted as soon as possible.
