Liberty Holds 31st Commencement

Liberty was the final Carroll high school to graduate its seniors.

Dressed in blue and gold caps and gowns, the Liberty Class of 2012 was awarded diplomas Sunday evening at McDaniel College.

In the auxillary gym before the ceremony, the class handed out 300 marbles, so when each graduate shook hands with principal Thomas Clowes they would give him a marble. They gave him a jar during the awarding of diplomas to collect the marbles.

Valedictorian Brian Bartholomew led the class into the gym for the graduation ceremony. He was also the first to receive a diploma.
