Liberty Softball Team to Wear Pink Friday, Encourages Breast Cancer Awareness

The Lions are hoping to raise money to support the Susan G. Komen foundation in their match up against North Carroll.

Liberty’s school colors are blue and gold but on Friday, the color of choice is pink.

The Liberty softball team is hosting North Carroll today, but they are also taking part in a fundraiser.

The team is participating in the Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser to support the Susan G. Komen foundation. The Lions have a goal of $500 and have raised $180 so far toward the goal.

The Lions come into the game with a 10-1 record in the county while North Carroll is 8-1.

During the basketball season, the Carroll County referees used pink whistles for two weeks in support of breast caner awareness.
