Asked if he felt pressure with the record, he said, "Yeah, A little bit. I had a little bit of pressure towards the end of the season getting it."

He will get a chance to add to his scoring Wednesday as the Cavaliers play host to Wheaton. South Carroll is the top seed in Class 2A West region. Wheaton comes in as the fourth seed. The Cavaliers beat them in the playoffs last year.

"My second year, I brought him up to the varsity as a freshmen after a couple of games. He’s been a leader since he came into the school. He puts a tremendous amount of time in and it’s paying off. The record is one thing that pays off for him. He’s put more hours in I am sure than anybody in this school's history," South Carroll Doug Goff said reflecting on Ryan McTavish’s career.

After the game, Ryan McTavish stood on the court receiving congratulations from people in attendance including the coaches from Presbyterian College, which he will attend in the fall.

When asked if the 10 day layoff affected his team, coach Goff said, "Yea, definitely and back that up with a Monday game and not allowed to practice on Sunday. It’s not what we want, but we won. We will get back in our rhythm."

The Cavaliers went to the foul line 39 times in the contest, making 26 of them. The Rams went to the charity stripe six times.

Gavin McTavish backed up his brother with 12 points, Dan Mullen and Ryan Tate added six each, Eric Hunsberger, three and Jeff Martin, two.

Deandre Kelly topped the Rams with 17 points.

South Carroll is now 23-1 for the season, while Rockville ended the season at 8-16.
