South Carroll Swim Club Hosts Carroll County Invitational
Seven swim teams took part in 25th annual Carroll County Invitational.
Carroll County swimmers found a way to cool off Wednesday evening in Winfield.
Seven swimming teams gathered at the South Carroll Swim Club for the 25th annual Carroll County Invitational. Taking part in the meet were the Carroll Aquatic Blue Sharks, North Carroll Sea Lions, Nottingham Marlins, Ridge Seals, South Carroll Serpents, Westminster Riding Club Seahorses and Westminster Stingrays.
Seven members of the host team picked up first place honors. They were led by Sam Rea in the boys 9-10 group as he captured the 25 meter breaststroke, 25 meter backstroke, 50 meter freestyle and 100 meter IM.

Sarah Zetlmeisl and Trent Braver each took honors in two events. Zetlmeisl took the girls 15-18 50 meter breaststroke and 100 meter IM. Braver took the 25 meter freestyle and 25 meter backstroke in the boys 8 and under.
Also taking first was Erin Budde in the girls 6 and under 25 meter backstroke, Olivia Figuli in the 25 meter backstroke for girls 8 and under, Shannon McGoey in the 25 meter breaststroke for girls 9-10 and Ryan Ratliff in the 50 meter butterfly in the boys 11-12.
