After Dog Bite in Elkridge, Medevac Picks Up Baby Boy: Police

A helicopter landed at Ducketts Lane Elementary School Friday to pick up an injured 1-year-old boy, according to police.

Elkridge, MD — A 1-year-old boy was airlifted Friday after a dog bite in Elkridge, according to police.

At 11:45 a.m., officials responded to a dog bite reported at a home in Capitol Mobile Park in the 6600 block of Washington Boulevard.

The child's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, according to Lori Boone, spokeswoman for the Howard County Police Department.

A helicopter landed at Ducketts Lane Elementary School to take the child to Johns Hopkins, where he was said to be in stable condition Friday afternoon.

Police reported that Animal Control officials took the dog into custody.
