Volunteer Tenant-Landlord Hotline Operator

The BNI Tenant-Landlord Hotline serves the entire state of Maryland and receives more than 18,000 calls annually. For many of our callers, especially those facing eviction, time is of the essence. Volunteer Tenant-Landlord Hotline Operators greatly help our counselors respond to calls in a timely manner. These volunteers also reduce the amount of time any caller has to wait on hold.

Volunteer Tenant-Landlord Hotline Operators take calls and record callers' contact information and questions. These volunteers are not required to share information, counsel callers, or give advice.  All volunteers will be briefly but fully oriented and trained before their first shift.

In this economy, many individuals and families are struggling to stay in affordable housing.  By volunteering at BNI, you can be part of a team that helps families keep roofs over their heads.
