Ascension and St. Augustine Box Food for Homeless Families

It's an annual tradition for faith community members of all ages to participate in packing day

For the fifth year in a row, the Catholic Community of Ascension and St. Augustine recently gathered and packed 7,500 food items in 150 boxes for families in the Grassroots motel shelter program. Members of all ages participated in the annual packing day which has become a church tradition. The faith community also donated $2,593.50 for grocery store gift cards to go with the provisions.Grassroots is Howard County's 24-7 crisis intervention center and shelter for the homeless.
