Elkridge Residents Sound Off on Snowplowing

How have the roads in your neighborhood fared during the blizzard? Find out what your neighbors said on Facebook.

ELKRIDGE, MD—As of 8 a.m. Sunday the blizzard warning for Maryland has been lifted. Over the weekend, Winter Storm Jonas brought up to 30.5 inches of snow to towns across Howard County.

No travel ban was issued for Elkridge throughout the storm, but Governor Larry Hogan is still urging residents to stay off the roads while crews get to work.

We asked Patch readers in Elkridge how they felt about the plowing done on their block. Here’s what they said:

  • “One came over 24 hours ago. Guessing one will come again tomorrow. Praying he doesn’t plow me back in.”
  • “Yes! There were 2 huge front-end loaders in the Meadowridge Landing community at 8am this morning. They did a great job, and it is certainly no easy task.”
  • “We haven’t had any plows come through yet in the Grovemont Overlook community off Landing Rd (Forest Kelly and Wecker Way)”
  • “Our son and our neighbor plowed us out”
  • “Our road hasn’t been touched yet either - no clue how my husband is getting to work tomorrow!”

  • “I would like a day off tomorrow, please plow my street after noon tomorrow.”
