Man Killed By MARC Train, Identity Sought: Police

Officials need help identifying a pedestrian killed Friday morning in a MARC train crash.

ELKRIDGE, MD — A person died Friday morning after being hit by a MARC train in Elkridge, according to the Howard County Police Department.

Investigators are asking for help identifying the victim.

The victim appeared to be an Asian man, police said; he had neither wallet nor identification on him.

At 6:25 a.m., authorities said they responded to the train tracks near the 5500 block of Levering Avenue, where a man had been walking by himself when he was hit by the train.

Nobody aboard the train was injured in the incident.

The Maryland Transit Administration suspended service on the Camden Line Friday morning due to police activity. By Friday afternoon, officials said MARC service was running as usual.
