Route 1 Reopens After Closure Due To Downed Wires

The crash occurred on Washington Boulevard at Route 100 Tuesday afternoon, officials advised.

ELKRIDGE, MD — Route 1 in Elkridge has reopened after it was closed due to downed wires.

Before 2:30 p.m., the State Highway Administration reported that the road had reopened at Route 100.

At 12:50 p.m., the State Highway Administration reported that Route 1 was closed in the area of Route 100 due to a crash. A single vehicle was involved in the collision, state transportation officials said.

Route 1 was closed between Amberton Drive at Troy Hill Drive because wires were down in the area, according to the Howard County Police Department.
