Skimmer At Elkridge Exxon Found: Police
A resident led police to the discovery of a skimmer in Elkridge; the library site was burglarized; and more crimes were reported to HCPD.

ELKRIDGE, MD - The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in Elkridge. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
A skimming device was found at the Exxon in the 7300 block of Washington Boulevard in Elkridge. A resident reported the security tape was damaged or missing on the pumps at 1:45 p.m. on Aug. 28. Officers found one pump had a skimming device installed inside. Police previously said there have been about 30 skimmers found in Howard County since the beginning of the year.
A woman walking her dog in Jessup was the victim of an indecent exposure. A man asked her for directions on Sheffield Court at Castleford Drive, then exposed himself. She ran home and called police, who located the suspect following the report, which was filed at 8:37 a.m. on Aug. 27. Police said that a 21-year-old from the 8200 block of Washington Boulevard in Jessup was charged with indecent exposure.

The construction site for the Elkridge Library was burglarized between Aug. 23 and Aug. 24. It was unclear how the suspect(s) got into the site. Construction tools were stolen.
A 1998 brown Toyota Sienna was stolen from the 6100 block of Montgomery Road, reported at 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 27.
