Spin for Life Honors Memory of Taylor Perdue

Benefit at Quest Fitness raises $1,800 for Grassroots Crisis Center

Spin for Life, a fundraiser in memory of Elkridge resident and recent Long Reach High School graduate Taylor Perdue, who lost her life to suicide in July, raised over $1,800 for Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center. Grassroots assisted the family after Taylor’s death.

The fundraiser was held at Quest Fitness in Ellicott City, where Taylor’s mother, Theresa LaMotte, and stepfather, Eric Scott, are also instructors. It was organized by Quest instructors Cathy Smith and Tricia Smith and Quest member Amy Cargiulo. Sponsors included Elaine Gossage State Farm Insurance, Whole Foods Market, Classic Catering, VAImports, Pappa Murphy’s Pizza and Lisa Jolles.

To make a gift in Taylor Perdue’s memory, donate at grassrootscrisis.org, or mail a check to Grassroots, 6700 Freetown Road, Columbia, MD, 21044, and put her name in the Memo line.
