SportClips Under Construction at Elkridge Corners

Ladders are set up and plastic sheets laid down as construction crews customize the interior of a vacant store in Elkridge Corners.

SportClips, which specializes in haircuts for men, will be opening Aug. 18, according to a store representative.

The chain barbershop has approximately 25 locations in Maryland and 900 nationwide. Elkridge will be its second business in Howard County; it has another store in Dobbin Center in Columbia.

With the latest addition, the Elkridge Corners shopping center at Montgomery Road and Route 1 boasts a zero-vacancy rate for the first time since November, when  in the space where SportClips will be.
