Teen Shot, Injured At Elkridge Apartment Building: Police

One teen is at shock trauma and police are investigating how he and another boy got possession of a gun, Howard County officials say.

ELKRIDGE, MD — A shooting in Elkridge Saturday morning sent one teen to shock trauma, police said.

The shooting happened around 11:46 a.m. in the 6400 block of Greenfield Road, according to the Howard County Police Department.

Police said a 15-year-old boy was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was in critical condition Saturday afternoon.

When officers responded to a reported shooting, they said they found the 15-year-old along with a 16-year-old relative outside an apartment building in the 6400 block of Greenfield Road in Elkridge.

How the teens had a gun in their possession is under investigation, police said.
