Tree Down On Route 1 In Elkridge: SHA

ELKRIDGE, MD - A tree has come down across a major thoroughfare in Elkridge, according to the State Highway Administration.

All lanes were closed on US 1/Washington Boulevard in the area of Old Washington Road (north), highway officials reported at 6:30 p.m.

The situation occurred just after 6 p.m., transportation authorities said.

As of 7 p.m., southbound lanes had reopened on Route 1, while one northbound lane was getting by, authorities said; the right lane and right shoulder were closed on Route 1 north heading from Howard toward the Baltimore County line.
