Water Rescue Required Near Meadowridge Road: Officials

ELKRIDGE, MD – One person was rescued from a vehicle in Elkridge amid high water Wednesday night, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

A vehicle was stranded in the area of Roosevelt Boulevard at Meadowridge Road, first responders reported shortly after 7 p.m.

By 7:15 p.m. the person had been rescued, officials said.

Meadowridge Road was closed between US 1 and Business Parkway, according to Howard County emergency personnel.

A flood warning is in effect for Howard County until 10:30 p.m.
