Woman Killed on Route 1 in Elkridge: Police
The pedestrian was hit by two vehicles, one of which remained at the scene, Howard County authorities say.

After a pedestrian in Elkridge was hit by two SUVs and killed Wednesday morning, the Howard County Police Department says authorities are seeking information about one vehicle that left the scene.
Denise Angela White, 33, of Baltimore, was crossing US Route 1 south of Bonnie View Lane when she was hit by a Toyota SUV at approximately 4:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, police said.
The driver of the Toyota, a 53-year-old Elkridge man, pulled over immediately on the side of the road, and as he did so, a second vehicle hit the woman and continued on, according to the report.

The Elkridge man described the second vehicle as a dark SUV, police said.
The Howard County Police Department is asking anyone who may be able to help identify the dark-colored SUV to call 410-313-4752.

Route 1/Washington Boulevard was closed for five hours as authorities investigated the crash, police said.
