• Suspect Starts Fire as Diversion for Jewelry Counter Heist in Maryland Walmart (instoremag.com) — Emergency crews responded after a man allegedly set a fire inside the Elkton Walmart last Wednesday, apparently to distract from a jewelry counter theft that caused about $5,000 in damage. Officials say the suspect used camp fuel and fireworks from the store, then escaped on an unplated motorcycle, and they’re asking anyone who recognizes the description to contact authorities.
