• Fuel vapors may have caused Chesapeake City boat explosion, injuring 10 (thebanner.com) — Several Elkton residents were among ten people injured when a boat exploded just after refueling at Schaefers Canal House marina in nearby Chesapeake City on Saturday afternoon. Investigators suspect fuel vapors may be to blame and are still determining whether the vessel’s blower fan was used properly. All victims were hospitalized with varying injuries, including two nearby employees.
