13-Year-Old Ellicott City Boy Arrested
Police said an Ellicott City teen was arrested on Halloween and charged with weapon violations.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A 13-year-old boy in Ellicott City was arrested on Halloween, according to the Howard County Police Department. The teen was charged with weapon violations, authorities reported.
The arrest came after officers were called to the 3300 block of North Chatham Road at 2:25 p.m.on Wednesday, Oct. 31, according to police.
Someone had reported there was a person with a gun in the parking lot of the shopping center, officials said.

Following a brief foot chase, police said the 13-year-old Ellicott City boy was taken into custody. After he was arrested, authorities reported they found he had a BB gun and charged him with weapon violations.
