2 Ellicott City Drivers Charged In DUI Checkpoint: Police
Two from Ellicott City plus nine others were arrested for driving under the influence before Thanksgiving, police reported.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — An impaired driving enforcement detail netted 11 arrests the night before Thanksgiving, according to Howard County police. Two of the drivers charged were from Ellicott City
Police said extra officers were patrolling roads in Howard County overnight before Thanksgiving thanks to a highway safety grant. They were focused on impaired drivers.

- Michael Ellsworth Diggs, 39, of Laurel

- Van Cung Bik, 27, of Baltimore
- Everardo Martinez Gancedo, 24, of Mt. Airy
- Corey Lucas Macklin, 24, of Laurel
- Zachary Ellis Mitchell, 24, of Laurel
- Godfrey I. Ovia Jr., 22, of Jessup
- Quann Joseph Crump, 21, of Baltimore
There will be another sobriety checkpoint this weekend at an undisclosed location, police advised.
Drivers will be out in force throughout the holiday season looking for impaired, distracted and speeding drivers as well as those conducting additional traffic violations.
