2 Ellicott City Schools Closing Early On Wednesday: HCPSS

Students will have an early dismissal due to a utility problem in Ellicott City, officials said.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Two schools in Ellicott City are letting out early on Wednesday, according to the Howard County Public School System. Officials said a water main break was the reason for the early dismissal.

Dunloggin Middle School students were released at 11:30 a.m., while Northfield Elementary School students will be dismissed at noon on Wednesday, April 24, officials said.

Students will be dismissed in accordance with emergency dismissal procedures, officials reported. Afternoon and evening activities are canceled at Dunloggin Middle and Northfield Elementary schools.

The early dismissals came the day after Dublin Elementary School dismissed early due to a lack of water pressure.
