6 Hospitalized From Crash On Route 40: Police
Multiple people were hospitalized after a crash Sunday night in Ellicott City, Howard County police reported.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Six people were hospitalized Sunday night after their car crashed into a tree on US 40 in Ellicott City. Wet road conditions are believed to have been a factor, according to the Howard County Police Department.
At 7:46 p.m., police said that a 2003 Toyota Corolla was headed east on US 40 when it left the road and hit a tree in the area of Brocks Way.
The driver and passenger were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. They were in stable condition, according to the Howard County Police Department.

Four passengers, including three children, were taken to Howard County General Hospital with minor injuries, police said.

- Jose Alisandro Beltran Segura, 30, of Catonsville; driver, taken to shock trauma
- Margarita Fernanda Anez Rodriguez, 24, of Windsor Mill; taken to shock trauma
- Angelica Anez, 30, of Windsor Mill; taken to Howard County General
- Children ages 13, 6 and 4, of Windsor Mill; taken to Howard County General
The Howard County Police Department said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
