A 64-year-old man has been sentenced for his role in a diamond heist where $92K worth of jewels were stolen, the HoCo prosecutor said.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A 64-year-old Baltimore man has been sentenced for his role in the robbery of an Easton jewelry store where an estimated $92,000 worth of diamonds were stolen.

On March 5, 2022, Ondray Michael Gwynn went into Shearer the Jeweler and stole the diamonds. He conspired with four other men who distracted store employees while he snuck into the back of the store. He found two boxes of loose diamonds in a safe and stole those, then all of the men fled the scene, according to court documents.

Police were able to analyze surveillance footage video from inside of the store, video footage from the surrounding areas in Easton, items seized pursuant to search warrants, as well as cell tower phone records to identify Gwynn.
