HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch's Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available from the Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center. First up is Dexter who is described by shelter staff as a good boy. He's housebroken, walks well on a leash and loves playing ball. This border collie mix is 7 years old and would make a wonderful addition to any family.

Wilbur is an adorable 1-year-old male Abyssinian guinea pig. He is described by shelter staff as a friendly and active guinea pig that makes happy sounds when he sees you. His fluffy fur is black and white on one side and tricolor on the other. He loves to munch on fresh fruit, vegetables and hay. When you purr at him he responds back with a purr. In his previous home, Wilbur lived with an older child that could no longer care for him. He is hoping to find a forever family that will shower him with love and one prepared to care for him for his full life span.

Clover is a 5-year-old male Flemish giant rabbit. Clover is very laid back and extremely friendly, according to shelter staff. Clover will need a forever family prepared for his size and has ample space for him to roam and explore. He enjoys ear rubs and becomes a miniature shadow as he follows you around. Clover lived with another rabbit in his previous home and they played well together.

Sparky is a 3-year-old neutered male cat ready to be the newest feline in your family. Sparky is a tolerant cat and quite the conversationalist, according to shelter staff. In his previous home, he lived with young children, other cats and a dog. When the children became too much for Sparky, he would run away and hide from them. But he did get along great with the dog and one of the cats in the home.
