BALTIMORE - Whether you count down the days until Oscar season or just enjoy a family movie night, you will not want to miss HCC-TV’s new original program
Reel Talk with Brian Roan. Join the host and local movie
blogger as he reviews a variety of films each month, critiquing everything from the acting to
cinematography.
The show is the brainchild of Karen Hinds Vadnais. Ms. Vadnais, Senior Producer /Director of the station, formerly produced the award-winning CineMaryland which aired from 1997 to 2012 on HCC- TV and My24.
CineMaryland, which showcased Maryland-based film and television projects, was hugely popular throughout the region and was a fan favorite of the area’s
abundant film and acting community.
Feeling that CineMaryland had reached its creative peak, Ms. Vadnais, who is passionate about film began to look for new film related show ideas in 2012.
Teaming up with HCC-TV’s Field Production Specialist Danielle Malloy, also from CineMaryland, the result was a film review program. The show became a reality
when they found host Brian Roan, author of the film blog Dearfilm.net. New to television, Brian’s movie knowledge made him a natural fit and the first program
aired in February.
