Sneak Peek of Linwood School

Parents of children with autism and educators are invited to a sneak peek at the Linwood Center’s new school facilities on Tuesday, May 21, from 7-8 p.m.  The “walk-through-while-under construction” will include a brief presentation about Linwood’s new programs, services and partnerships.

Linwood School will house a state-of-the-art educational program in a 36,000 square foot building.  In addition to accepting students on the more challenging end of the spectrum, the new school will allow Linwood to accept kindergarten to 12th grade students with less severe forms of autism. There are no other comprehensive nonpublic autism programs close to Howard County, and many local students with autism are bused to schools outside the county.

The new Linwood School will open its doors in August. Grand opening festivities are slated for September.
