Andy Carmer Elected President of Neighbor Ride
Following Madachy's appointment as Director of the Department of Citizen Services, Carmer elected to replace her as Neighbor Ride President

Andy Carmer has been elected to serve as the President of Neighbor Ride’s Board of Directors. Andy, Vice President – Commercial Automotive with SunTrust Bank, has been a member of Neighbor Ride’s Board of Directors for six years, serving on the Executive Committee since 2010.
Mr. Carmer replaces outgoing President, Phyllis Madachy, who was named Director of the Department of Citizen Services on May 7th by Howard County Executive, Allan Kittleman. Neighbor Ride is tremendously grateful for Ms. Madachy’s five years of service on the Board of Directors; and applauds her appointment by the County Executive.
Neighbor Ride is a volunteer-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the health and quality of life for Howard County’s older residents by providing low-cost, volunteer-driven transportation for health care appointments, cultural and social activities, religious services, shopping and other personal needs. Neighbor Ride offers this service so seniors, age 60 and over, can remain active, independent and connected to the community.
