The Arc of Howard County Honors Its Volunteers
Board, committee and hands-on supporters gather for annual social.
The Arc of Howard County’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Social brought together people who have done everything from painting houses and teaching sign language to those who have served as chairs of the organization’s many advisory boards. The event featured remarks by Acting Executive Director Sue Haynes, Board Vice President Dorothy Plantz and former Board member Phil Swanson, The Arc’s 2014 Volunteer of the Year. Among those enjoying the social were (from l.) Plantz, Deanna Murray, former Board President Richard Dean and Board member Pam Guzzone.
