Home Building Industry to Attempt Guinness World Record in Maryland

Hundreds of builders, contractors, suppliers and industry professionals will unite at Builder Mart 2026 to attempt a Guinness World Records™ title for the “Most Nails Hammered Simultaneously”. The one-of-a-kind event will showcase the power of Maryland's building industry while creating a memorable and highly visual moment for attendees and media alike.

WHAT
The Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA) will attempt to make history at its annual Builder Mart trade show with a Guinness World Records™ attempt for “Most Nails Hammered Simultaneously.”
Hundreds of members of Maryland’s building and construction industry will come together for the record-breaking attempt, putting their hammers to work at the same time in an effort to Nail the Record + Make History.
The event will follow MBIA’s annual Builder Mart trade show which brings together builders, contractors, suppliers, manufacturers and other industry professionals from across Maryland. Builder Mart 2026 will have 125+ builder exhibitors, the annual BUILD Competition, networking opportunities, and a Bull & Oyster Roast.
