Crash Near Howard High School Sends 1 to Hospital
The crash involved two vehicles in front of Howard High School, officials said.
A two-car crash near Howard High School in Ellicott City sent one person to the hospital on Thursday morning, according to officials.
One person was trapped as a result of the collision on MD Route 108/Old Annapolis Road, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported in a statement at 8:46 a.m.
The individual was rescued and taken to the hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, the department said.
"All students are safe and sound," school officials said, describing the incident as a "minor traffic accident in front of the school." Officials said to anticipate traffic as a a result of the collision.
At 8:57 a.m., Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported that Route 108 had reopened.
