Cycle2Health Kick-Off

Cycle2Health kicks-off its 4th riding season on Thursday, May 5th, in the parking lot of the East Columbia 50+ Center.

Coordinated by the Howard County Office on Aging, Cycle2Health is a non-competitive, peer-led, bicycling club featuring weekday rides during daytime hours. Adults of all ages and riding abilities are welcome. Rides vary in length and difficulty and depart from various Howard County locations.

The 2016 season will kick-off on Thursday, May 5th, at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of the East Columbia 50+ Center, located at 6600 Cradlerock Way, Columbia, MD 21045.

The kick-off event will feature free bicycle safety checks and bike fittings from local bike shops including Race Pace Bicycles, Princeton Sports, and Performance Bicycle. The departure of the first rides of the season will follow.

All are welcome to attend the kick-off, but one must register to ride. There is a $10 fee to register for the season. Participants must provide their own bicycle, helmet, spare tube, and tools to change a flat tire. Bicycles should be in good working order to ensure safe and enjoyable riding for both participant and group.
