Dock Set On Fire Near Lake Kittamaqundi Trail

Investigators are looking into a fire that was set Wednesday at a dock near the Lake Kittamaqundi Trail, firefighters say.

COLUMBIA, MD — The state fire marshal is investigating an incident involving a dock post along the Lake Kittamaqundi Trail that was set on fire this week.

Howard County firefighters were called to the area Wednesday late morning and found a small fire on the dock. It was quickly extinguished, the county fire department reported.

The affected area has been roped off but the trail remains open to users.
