Ellicott City Businesses Begin Reopening On Main Street
Partial access has been restored to Main Street, and a handful of businesses in old Ellicott City have reopened.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Main Street in Ellicott City has reopened to traffic, partially. Howard County officials announced two-way traffic had returned Tuesday west of Old Columbia Pike and east of Maryland Avenue.
The bridge from Baltimore County has reopened, with Ellicott City now accessible via Frederick Road.
Once drivers have crossed the bridge from Frederick Road over the Patapsco River to Main Street, they can turn left onto Maryland Avenue to get to St. Paul Street and College Avenue, officials said.

They can also drive on Main Street west of Old Columbia Pike.
Since flood recovery work continues, drivers are asked to reduce their speeds and be extra careful in the area.

The stretch of Main Street between Maryland Avenue and Old Columbia Pike remains closed. New Cut Road is also still closed due to flood damage.
Businesses Open
The following are open for business on Main Street:
- Judge's Bench, 8385 Main Street
- Manor Hill Tavern, 3733 Old Columbia Pike
- Matcha Time Cafe, 3785 Hamilton Street
- The ClayGround Studio & Gallery, 3715 Old Columbia Pike
- The Wine Bin, 8390 Main Street
Where To Park
Here is the latest on parking, according to Howard County officials:
- 24 parking spaces are available in Lot B
- 150 parking spaces will be available in Lot D, accessible from Roussey Lane via Old Columbia Pike
- 27 parking spaces are open in Lot E
- Parts of Lots F and G will open as construction equipment is no longer needed for flood recovery efforts
"Much has been accomplished," Howard County government officials said Tuesday, "but there's still much to be done."
Old Ellicott City has been in a state of recovery from flooded buildings and infrastructure in the weeks since the May 27 flood.
