Ellicott City Pinewood Grand Prix- Sunday, May 3rd 12n-3pm at the Wine Bin

Remember when your dad built your pinewood car, and you “helped” paint it? Not this time! You build it, you race it, the glory is all yours. The competition will be fierce- from physics geeks to designer gurus.

This is an event where beer will flow, teams will cheer and tears are not allowed. If this sounds good to you, don’t waste any time getting registered. There are only 48 slots available.

$40 entry fee includes your car kit (7”L x 1 3/4”W x 1 1/4”H pine block, wheels, and axles). What you do with it from there is up to you! ANYTHING GOES! Creativity is encouraged at the Pinewood Grand Prix. Although there will be a grand prize awarded to the fastest car, prizes will also be awarded for craftsmanship (as judged by your fellow racers), best team costume/spirit (as judged by the judges), and maybe something else if we think of it.

Must be 18 years or older to race, 21 and up to consume adult beverages. Children are allowed (and welcome) to attend the Pinewood Grand Prix, but the real fun of the day is for the grown ups.
