Veterans Elementary School student body represents a diverse community of cultures. The Cultural Celebration Family Showcase provides our students the opportunity to share information about themselves, their family, and their culture. The event includes:
- Family Showcase in the gym, where families will have a table to share information about their culture (or one they have researched).
- Entertainment on the stage: A student Fashion Show, dancers, singers, and other entertainers throughout the evening.
- Food to taste in the cafeteria from both family recipes and area restaurants.
- Math games from various cultures to play.
- Story time in the Media Center.
- A Scavenger Hunt Passport for your family to solve. Completed Passports count as a homework pass for that evening.
- Clothes dress up station and also a Henna station.
- Student displays of ‘Cultural Me’ throughout the building.
- Classroom displays of research done about different countries.
- Graphs, flags, geographical research, and decorations created by students in Eagle Clubs.
