Lightning Flash 5k Benefit for Spinal Muscular Atrophy

Who: Long Reach High School Field Hockey proudly presents the First Annual Lightning Flash 5k!

What: Participants will complete a Fun Run/Walk 5K. It is $10 to run/walk. We must receive registration by Friday, September 24, 2010. Children under 10 are FREE! It is $15 after September 24th and $15 the day of the race.

Where: Runners and walkers will start and end at Long Reach High School's track. Participants will complete a 5K route that will be marked. LR field hockey girls will be on the course to guide everyone.

When: October 2, 2010. Race starts at 9:00am!!!

Why: Fifty percent of our earnings will go to the Jocelyn Paige Lee Foundation. Jocelyn Paige was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy at the young age of 4 months. Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a motor neuron disease that effects crawling, walking, head and neck control, and swallowing.
