The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Forest Service, the Howard County Conservancy and the Alliance for the Chesapeake will host a two-part Woods in Your Backyard workshop for landowners. The sessions will be held February 15 and 22 in Howard County.
Topics will include; forest ecology and woodland management principles, tree identification techniques, wildlife habitat projects, how to convert lawn to natural areas and invasive species control.
