Family Fun Day at Patapsco Valley State Park

Family Fun Day at Patapsco Valley State Park Sunday Event has something for everyone.

WHO: Sponsored by Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park and Patapsco Valley State Park. Registered with the Children & Nature Network as an official “Let. G.O. (Get Outside)” event which encourages the public to play, serve, and celebrate the outdoors

WHAT: The event includes immediate volunteer activities and interactive activities to showcase all that our parks have to offer. Most of these activities will be volunteer led in order to showcase the diversity of our volunteer family. Activities include nature programs and hikes, tree-plantings, crafts, and Scales & Tales.

WHERE: Patapsco Valley State Park Avalon area 5120 South Street Baltimore MD 21227

WHEN: Sunday, April 24, 2016 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

WHY: As a metropolitan park, Patapsco Valley State Park has a lot to offer our residents. Volunteers are a major component of our park, participating in every activity imaginable. Our hope is that guests will see that no matter their interests, we have a place they can call home.

DIRECTIONS: Avalon/Orange Grove Areas - From the Beltway (I-695) Take Rt. 1 (Exit 12-A) toward Elkridge. Follow Rt. 1 South about 3 miles to South St. Turn right. Park entrance is on the left.

From I -95 take I-195 to Rt. 1 (Exit 3) toward Elkridge to South St. Turn right. Park entrance is on the left.

From Howard County follow Rt. 1 through Elkridge and into Baltimore County. Turn left onto South St. Park entrance is on the left.
