Filling Up in Ellicott City? Prepare to Pay

Did you do a double take at the pump today? 

This time last year, a gallon of regular gas averaged $3.577 in Ellicott City, according to AAA. Six months ago it wasn’t much higher, averaging $3.594.

As of Monday afternoon, however, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Ellicott City was $3.883, and at some stations, AAA said, prices are as high as $3.929 and surpassed $4 last weekend.

The cheapest place to fill up in Ellicott City proper is the at 10214 Baltimore National Pike, where a gallon of regular gas is $3.859.

Travel to the Xtra MART AT 1818 Woodlawn Drive in Gwen Oak for $3.679 a gallon or up to 5660 Baltimore National Pike to the Safeway in Catonsville where, with a discount, a gallon of regular gasoline was $3.719 Monday afternoon.
