Ellicott City Fire Displaces Apartment Tenants: Officials

Firefighters responded to an apartment blaze in Ellicott City Saturday night off Town and Country Boulevard.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Multiple tenants were displaced after fire broke out Saturday night at an apartment building in Ellicott City, officials said. Nobody was injured, according to authorities.

Firefighters were called to the 3100 block of West Springs Drive, where officials reported there was an apartment building ablaze before 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16.

Nobody was found inside the building, fire and rescue personnel said.

The fire had been knocked and was contained to the first floor by 11 p.m., according to authorities.

Investigators were at the scene looking into the cause and origin of the blaze as of 11:25 p.m., at which point officials reported the fire had been extinguished.
