FREE CONCERT!
The "Side Hill Badgers String Band" returns to the B&O Railroad Museum, Ellicott City Station!
Join the prize winning “Side Hill Badgers String Band” for a selection of traditional acoustic (No microphones! NO blaring speakers!) Appalachian music for a FREE concert on the plaza in front of the B&O Railroad Museum`s Ellicott City Station, 2711 Maryland Avenue on the corner of Main Street at the railroad bridge.
The “Badgers” will be giving their fiddle, guitar, “doghouse bass” and banjo a real workout from 1-3PM Saturday May 28. (“Standing room only” so bring folding chairs.)
Afterward, you will have time to visit the Museum, housed in the oldest railroad station in America, completed in 1831. It is the terminus of the first thirteen miles on track in America and is currently commemorating the sesquicentennial of the Civil War with it`s exhibit “The War Came by Train” featuring Civil War memorabilia; photographs, letters, etc. and a forty foot “HO” scale layout showing the thirteen miles from Baltimore to (then) “Ellicott`s Mills”.
