Glen Mar Church Holds Benefit for Grassroots
Faith community gathers and packages items for 100 baskets, raising $14,000.
Glen Mar United Methodist Church recently held a silent auction benefit for Grassroots, Howard County 24-hour crisis intervention center and shelter for the homeless. Members of the Ellicott City-based faith community gathered and packaged items for over 100 baskets which were on display between Sunday services. The silent auction raised over $14,000. Surveying the auction items and participants were (from l.) Glen Mar Golf Classic Team members Libby Boswell and Alison Zuzak. Zuzak was head of the Silent Auction Committee.
