Hammond High Italian Club Hosts Pasta Drive

Students gather 340 boxes of pasta for shelves at Grassroots homeless shelter

Hammond High School’s Italian Club recently held a pasta drive to help restock the shelves at Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, which was down to one box. The students collected 340 boxes of pasta in their drive. The club’s Faculty Advisor is Peter Dimarco. Students helping to pack the pasta for delivery were (from l.) Calvin Smith and Italian Club President Valerie Quintanilla. The students are dressed for Spirit Week.
