HCPSS Makes Weather Call For Wednesday, Feb. 20

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — All public schools and school offices in Howard County will be closed on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Officials from the Howard County Public School System made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon.

Howard County is under a winter storm warning from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The National Weather Service is calling for up to 6 inches of snow during the warning period.

Evening activities in schools — both those that are school-sponsored and community-sponsored — are canceled on Wednesday, including athletic practices and games.
