House Fire In Ellicott City Out, Road Reopens: Officials
BREAKING: A garage fire that spread to a house is out, Howard County fire and rescue officials say.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A garage fire in Ellicott City Tuesday afternoon has been declared under control. Roads in the area have reopened after a brief closure due to the firefighting operations.
Before 3:30 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to a garage fire in the 10000 block of Emily Fox Court, according to Howard County fire and rescue officials.
Crews went on the offensive as the flames spread to the nearby residence, and brought the blaze under control. Smoke extended into the home, but authorities said that it was minor.

By 4 p.m., the fire had been extinguished, officials reported.
Route 99/Old Frederick Road was closed to westbound traffic until approximately 4:25 p.m., according to police. School buses in the area may experience delays, authorities advised.
